
Caramel Sauce

Method
- Place the sugar in a heavy-based saucepan and heat until the sugar melts. Do not stir. Shake the pan to distribute the sugar evenly as it begins to melt.
- Leave on the heat until the melted sugar turns golden brown. Do not allow it to become too dark.
- Add the warm water, stirring to mix.
- Bring to the boil and boil for 3 minutes.
Serving Suggestions: Serve with light desserts, waffles or crumpets.
