Baked Apples

Serves 8



8 large cooking apples
60 ml Huletts brown sugar
60 ml raisins,
4 ginger biscuits crushed
50g butter
extra butter




  1. Preheat oven to 160ºC.
  2. Using an apple corer or a small sharp knife, remove the apple cores.
  3. Stand the fruit in a buttered, shallow ovenproof dish.
  4. Melt the butter , add the sugar, raisons and crushed ginger biscuits.
  5. Fill the canters with mixture into each apple and dot with the butter.
  6. Bake at 140°C until the apples are tender 30 Minutes.
  7. Serve hot with custard.
