8 large cooking apples
- Preheat oven to 160ºC.
- Using an apple corer or a small sharp knife, remove the apple cores.
- Stand the fruit in a buttered, shallow ovenproof dish.
- Melt the butter , add the sugar, raisons and crushed ginger biscuits.
- Fill the canters with mixture into each apple and dot with the butter.
- Bake at 140°C until the apples are tender 30 Minutes.
- Serve hot with custard.
