Carrots with Sweet Orange Sauce

Serves 4 - 6



400g medium to small sized carrots, trimmed and peeled
30ml butter
juice of 3-4 oranges
100g (125ml) Huletts SunSweet Brown Sugar
sprout leaves (optional)



  1. Cook the carrots in boiling water until just tender. Remove from pot and discard water.
  2. Using the same pot, melt the butter and add the orange juice and sugar. Stir continuously until the mixture becomes syrupy.
  3. Add the carrots and reduce heat to low. Cook for a further 15-20 minutes, gently stirring to evenly coat the carrots.
  4. Serve as a side dish garnished with the sprouts leaves.
