Roasted Strawberries

800g large fresh strawberries
105g (125ml) Huletts Castor Sugar
To serve: Mascarpone or good vanilla ice cream, vanilla liqueur and chopped pistachios (optional)

Method: 

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC.
  2. Line a roasting pan with non-stick greaseproof baking paper or spray with cooking spray.
  3. Cut the strawberries in 1cm thick slices and arrange, in single layer, on the roasting pan.
  4. Sprinkle with castor sugar.
  5. Roast for 30 minutes to an hour depending on your taste preference.
  6. Serve topped with a dollop of Mascarpone or good vanilla ice cream, a splash of vanilla liqueur and chopped pistachios (optional).
