Bread and Butter Pudding

Strawberry Bread & Butter Pudding

A delicious twist on an old favourite



6 thick slices white bread
30ml Clover Butter
60ml strawberry jam
3 extra large eggs, beaten
100g (125ml) Huletts Castor Sugar
250ml Clover Fresh Cream
500ml Clover Fresh Milk
pinch of salt



  1. Preheat the oven to 160ºC.
  2. Butter the bread slices and spread with strawberry jam.
  3. Arrange slices in a buttered oven proof dish.
  4. Beat eggs and sugar together. Add cream, milk and salt. Mix well.
  5. Pour the cream mixture over bread and leave to soak for 15 minutes.
  6. Bake for ±1 hour or until golden brown.
  7. Serve hot with extra fresh cream, garnished with fresh berries, mint leaves and a sprinkling of icing sugar.
