280 g (2 cups) cake flour
5 g instant yeast
10 ml (2 t) Huletts White Sugar
1 ml (pinch) salt
250 ml (1 cup) warm water
oil to deep-frying
125 ml (½ cup) Huletts Maple or Golden Syrup
  1. Sift dry ingredients together.
  2. Mix in the water and knead until well mixed.
  3. Cover and leave to rise ±30 minutes or until double in volume.
  4. Pinch off equal sizes of dough and fry until golden brown in medium hot oil.
  5. To serve: Drizzle with Huletts Caramel, Maple or Golden Syrup.
