Caramel Sauce



125 ml ( ½ cup) Warm Water
225 g (just over 1 cup) Huletts White Sugar



  1. Place the sugar in a heavy-based saucepan and heat until the sugar melts. Do not stir. Shake the pan to distribute the sugar evenly as it begins to melt.
  2. Leave on the heat until the melted sugar turns golden brown. Do not allow it to become too dark.
  3. Add the warm water, stirring to mix.
  4. Bring to the boil and boil for 3 minutes.

Serving Suggestions: Serve with light desserts, waffles or crumpets.
