Peach Chutney



2kg Yellow Peaches, peeled, stoned and cut up
500g Tart Apples, peeled, cored and cut up
500g Sultanas
1 Garlic Clove, chopped
1 Medium Onion, sliced
375g Huletts White Sugar
15ml (1T) Salt
10ml (2t) Ground Ginger
5ml (1t) Ground Cinnamon
3ml ( ½t) Cayenne Pepper
1 litre Vinegar



  1. Combine the peaches, apples, sultanas and garlic. Mince to desired size if required.
  2. Place all the ingredients in a saucepan and stir over a low heat to dissolve the sugar. Increase the heat and boil until thickened ( ½ an hour as a rough guide).
  3. Bottle in sterilised jars.
