Brown Sugar Rubbed Steak

This short recipe stars a tender rump steak rubbed with a blend of sweet and spicy.

Ingredients

  • 45 mg coarse salt
  • 15 mg onion powder
  • 15 mg garlic powder
  • 10 mg paprika
  • 15 mg black pepper
  • 15 mg Huletts Brown Sugar
  • 2 ½ mg nutmeg
  • 6 x 200 g rump steaks

Method

Dry Ingredients

  1. Combine all the dry ingredients.

The Steaks

  1. Rub onto the steaks.
  2. Heat a grill pan over a high heat. When it is smoking hot, grill the steaks for 2-4 minutes on each side, depending on how rare you like them.

Rare, Medium or Well Done?

RARE: Cook for 20 minutes per 450g at 180°C
MEDIUM: Cook for 30 minutes per 450g at 180°C
WELL DONE: Cook for 30 minutes per 450g at 180°C
