Rice Krispies Peanut Butter Treats

Ingredients
Rice Krispies Ball
- 125ml Huletts Golden Syrup
- 125ml Huletts Icing Sugar
- 125ml peanut butter
- 5ml vanilla essence
- 1000ml Rice Krispy cereal
- 30ml sesame seeds
Decoration
- Sesame seeds
- 100s & 1000s
Method
- In a large saucepan, over medium heat, combine the syrup and sugar. Stir constantly while you bring it to a boil.
- Remove the pot from the heat and add the peanut butter and vanilla. Stir until smooth.
- Mix in the cereal and sesame seeds. Stir until well coated. Variation: Use desiccated coconut instead of sesame seeds.
- Using a greased surface. Drop the mix, a spoonful at a time, onto the surface. Roll the drops into balls. If you wet your hands it makes them much easier to roll.
- Roll some balls in sesame seeds, some in 100s & 1000s and leave a few plain.
- Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes, or until firm.
- These are great for lunch box treats, picnics and parties.
