Rice Krispies Peanut Butter Treats

Rice Krispies Ball

  • 125ml Huletts Golden Syrup
  • 125ml Huletts Icing Sugar
  • 125ml peanut butter
  • 5ml vanilla essence
  • 1000ml Rice Krispy cereal
  • 30ml sesame seeds


  • Sesame seeds
  • 100s & 1000s


  1. In a large saucepan, over medium heat, combine the syrup and sugar. Stir constantly while you bring it to a boil.
  2. Remove the pot from the heat and add the peanut butter and vanilla. Stir until smooth.
  3. Mix in the cereal and sesame seeds. Stir until well coated. Variation: Use desiccated coconut instead of sesame seeds.
  4. Using a greased surface. Drop the mix, a spoonful at a time, onto the surface. Roll the drops into balls. If you wet your hands it makes them much easier to roll.
  5. Roll some balls in sesame seeds, some in 100s & 1000s and leave a few plain.
  6. Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes, or until firm.
  7. These are great for lunch box treats, picnics and parties.
