Ingredients
Chicken Wings
- 750g chicken wings (about 20 chicken wings)
- 25ml baking powder
- 1ml salt
- 2ml black pepper
- 2ml smoked paprika
- 2ml garlic powder
- 2ml onion powder
Sweet & Spicy Sauce
- 250ml water
- 120ml rice vinegar
- 4 garlic cloves, crushed
- 60ml soy sauce
- 40ml Huletts Molasses
- 5ml ground ginger
- 60ml chilli sauce
- 10ml sesame oil
Method
Chicken Wings
- Preheat the oven to 180˚C.
- Place all the spices for the chicken wings into a bowl.
- Pat the wings dry and toss in the spice mixture.
- Place the wings on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake for 20 – 25 minutes per side.
- Check after 40 minutes to see if the wings are crispy enough.
Sweet & Spicy Sauce
- Place all the ingredients for the sauce in a mixing bowl and whisk.
- Place the sauce in a medium saucepan. Cook uncovered on medium-high heat until it is thickened (approximately 15 minutes).
- Drizzle or baste the sauce over the wings just before serving.
