HULETTS EQUISWEET SATURDAY NIGHT FITNESS COMPETITION RULES (“RULES”)

The promoter is Tongaat Hulett Limited Reg. No. 1892/000610/06 (in business rescue) (“the Promoter”) and Mediology (Pty) Ltd Reg. No. 2002/002656/07 acting as the Agent of the Promoter. 

  1. This promotional competition is open from 15 July 2026 and ends at 11:59 pm on 24 July 2026. Any entries received after the closing date will not be considered.
  2. This promotional  (“Competition”) is open to all South African residents of 18 (eighteen) years and older, residing in South Africa, who are in possession of a valid identity document, passport, or other documentary proof of South African residency, except any director, member, partner, employee, agent, or consultant of the Promoter, its marketing service providers, or any person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by these entities, including their spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members.
  3. To enter, participant is required to Share their favourite pre-workout snack, drink, or ritual in the comments section of the Saturday Night Fitness event competition posts on the Huletts Facebook & Instagram pages only.
  4. The competition is open to all South African residents.  However, should a winner residing outside of Gauteng wish to attend, all travel and accommodation expenses to attend the event in Gauteng will be for the winner’s account.
  5. Prizes:  There are 10 (ten) sets of tickets to be won to gain entry to the Saturday Fitness Event at Monte Casino in Johannesburg on 15th August 2026.

    Each participant stands to win 1 (one) set of double tickets (consisting of 2 tickets).
  6. Participants may enter multiple times (one entry per social media profile) but will only be eligible to win 1(one) set of double tickets (consisting of 2 tickets).  
  7. Participants must enter their correct contact details. If a winner has given incorrect contact details, the Promoter (or its agent) reserves the right to select another winner in terms of the rules. 
  8. All winners will be required to provide their names, ID numbers, and contact details and to sign an acknowledgement of receipt of the prize. 
  9. Winners will be selected by means of a random draw on 28th July 2026. The Promoter (or its agent) will notify the selected winner via direct message (DM) on the social media platform through which the entry was submitted. The winner must respond and provide the requested contact details within 48 (forty-eight) hours of the notification being sent. Failure to do so will result in the prize being forfeited, and the Promoter (or its agent) reserves the right to select an alternate winner in accordance with the rules.

  10. Once the winner has responded and has been contacted by the Promoter by telephone, email or any other reasonable means of communication, the winner must provide any documentation reasonably required to verify their eligibility, including proof of identity, within 48 (forty-eight) hours of the Promoter’s request. Failure to provide the requested information or documentation within this period may result in disqualification, and the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternate winner in accordance with the rules
  11. Should a selected winner fail to respond or fail the verification process, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternate winner, and the same notification and verification process shall apply to the alternate winner.
  12. The Tickets will be issued by Elaine Budhu ([email protected]) acting on behalf of the Promoter, electronically either by e-mail or WhatsApp. Tickets to be printed and taken to the event.
  13.  A copy of these rules can be found on the following website: www.hulettssugar.co.za throughout the period of the competition. 
  14. Any personal data submitted by you will be used solely in accordance with current South African data protection legislation and the Promoter’s privacy policy.
  15. The Promoter shall not be responsible for any lost, damaged, delayed, incorrect, or incomplete entries for any reason whatsoever.   Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt.
  16. The Promoter shall not be responsible for the failure of any technical element relating to this promotion that may result in an entry not being successfully submitted. 
  17. Responsibility is not accepted for entries lost, damaged, or delayed as a result of any network, computer, or cell phone hardware or software failure of any kind.  Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt.  
  18. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any claim if fraud or cheating is suspected, including without limitation, through the manipulation of code or otherwise frequently falsifying data. 
  19. No applications from agents, third parties, organised groups, or applications automatically generated by computer will be accepted. No incomplete or corrupted entries will be accepted. Entries will only be accepted if they comply with all entry instructions. 
  20. NOTE: Any attempt to use multiple email profiles, Meta accounts, or other tactics to enter or vote more than the stated limit may result in disqualification, and all associated entries and/or votes will be void. Entries or votes generated by script, macro, bot, commercial contest subscription, incentives, or other means not sponsored by the Promoter, vote-swapping sites, voting software, entering service sites, or any other automated means and entries or votes by any means that subvert the entry/voting process or do not conform to the terms or spirit of these competition rules, will void the entry/votes and may disqualify the entrant.
  21. The prize is not exchangeable for cash and is not transferable.  
  22. By participating in the Competition, the winners hereby accept that they might be required to take part in further publicity relating to the Competition. By participating in this Competition, the Winners agree to allow their names and likenesses to be used for promotional purposes aligned with the Promoter’s business, including but not limited to posting photos and the Participant’s Personal Information/Personal Data to the Promoter’s Website(s), Facebook or any other digital or social media interfaces. However, the winner has the right to object to these images being used by written notification to the Promoter at  [email protected]

  23. The Winners hereby acknowledge that by participating in this Competition, the Promoter will be Processing their Personal Information/Personal Data and the Winners specifically consent to the Promoter Processing any Personal Information/Personal Data which is collected through the Competition for purposes of not only adjudicating the Competition, but also for purpose(s) of marketing the Promoters Services and the products and services of any Third Parties and/or Customer(s) to the Winners. In the event that any Participant wishes to object to the Processing of his or her Personal Information/Personal Data, which right the Participant is at all times entitled to exercise, the Participant must please direct such a request to the Promoter at the following email address  [email protected]

  24. Where the Participants/Winners consent to take part in any of the Promoter’s publicity campaigns, they acknowledge that they will not be entitled to any remuneration for such participation and all materials arising from such participation will be the sole and exclusive property of the Promoter.
  25. The Promoter shall have the right to change or terminate the promotional competition immediately and without notice, if deemed necessary in its opinion and if circumstances arise outside of their control. In the event of such change or termination, all participants agree to waive any rights that they have in respect of this promotional competition and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Promoter or its agents.  
  26. In the event that the prize is not available despite the Promoter’s reasonable endeavors to procure the prize, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal value.  
  27. Neither the Promoter, its agents, its associated companies, nor any directors, officers or employees of such shall be liable for any loss, damage or injury, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise arising from any cause whatsoever, which may be suffered by the participant.  
  28. Participation in the promotional competition constitutes acceptance of the promotional competition rules, and participants agree to abide by the rules. 
  29. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Meta and the participants acknowledge that they are providing information to the Promoter and its agents only and not to Meta.
  30. All entrants in this Competition release Meta and any other online platforms from all liabilities and claims arising out of or in connection with this competition and these terms and conditions. 
  31. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Telkom, MTN, Vodacom, Cell C, or any other mobile network and the participants acknowledge that they are providing information to the Promoter and its agents only and not to telephone networks.
  32. All entrants in this Competition release Telkom, MTN, Vodacom, Cell C, and any other mobile network from all liabilities and claims arising out of or in connection with this competition and these terms and conditions. 
  33. The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
