The Annual PROTEC Academic Awards Day held at Tongaat Secondary School Hall and proudly sponsored by Tongaat Hulett, was a day to remember. We celebrated the remarkable achievements of outstanding students who have worked hard to shape their futures.
The ceremony celebrated excellence in all its forms: academic excellence, diligence, and top performers in mathematics, physical science, and English. Special recognition was awarded to those who achieved 100% attendance and completed their International Computer Driving License (ICDL), and every Grade 12 learner received certificates of participation.
Learners were thrilled to receive prizes sponsored by Tongaat Huletts, which included hampers, juice boxes, pens, bags, and more. These prizes were a token of our belief in their dreams. The top-performing learners were:
- Grade 10 Top Performer: Tharsania Moodley
- Grade 11 Top Performer: Dashil Brijnath
- Grade 12 Top Performer: Khayelihle Shaun Moyo
The day was made even more memorable by inspiring speeches from members of our management team, Rangani Rangai, Mpumie Nqoko and Snethemba Kunene who shared heartfelt words and a moving video. Together, they reminded these young achievers that Tongaat Hulett and PROTEC Tongaat are here to support them as they chase their dreams and make a difference in the world.
