Having a full uniform can make all the difference in a child’s life. With this in mind, Tongaat Hulett visited Lethimfundo Primary School, a no-fee school in Macekane, to donate new uniforms, stationery, and lunchboxes—helping learners attend school with confidence and pride.
Mrs. Mzimela, the principal of Lethimfundo Primary School, recognized the profound impact that a lack of school supplies could have on her learners’ confidence and reached out to Tongaat Hulett for support. As part of our ongoing commitment to the Macekane area—which includes supporting local food security projects, training cane growers, and addressing social welfare needs—we saw this as another meaningful way to uplift the community.
The day was about more than just uniforms and stationery. It was about showing these learners that they are seen, valued, and supported. By providing them with the tools they need to succeed, we hope to inspire them to believe in themselves and focus on what matters most: their education and their future.
This is the true power of giving—the embodiment of #GrowingASweetFuture.
