Access to food and a proper pair of shoes can change a child’s day and their future. That’s why Tongaat Hulett recently partnered once again with SA Harvest and other local partners to support shoe donations and soup kitchen initiatives.
For Volunteer Day, we gathered at SA Harvest’s Durban warehouse to strengthen hunger-relief efforts across KwaZulu-Natal. Huletts provided essential pantry items and aprons for soup kitchens, the Deloitte Africa audit team joined hands to rescue food and support hunger relief across KwaZulu‐Natal. Together, these efforts turned meal preparation into moments of care, dignity and nourishment during the school holidays.
The spirit of giving continued at Thanda Safari Game Lodge, where Tongaat Hulett and SA Harvest supported children preparing for the 2026 school year. By distributing new shoes, food and essentials, volunteers helped learners start school feeling confident, prepared and seen.
